Make the most of your summer with a General Session

The core of the Summer Program, since time immemorial (1963), has been a multi-week program that covers different topics in the social sciences. What started as "Advanced Science Seminars on Quantitative Methods in Social Research" changed and added subjects and are now simply General Sessions, but the concept is the same: spend part of your summer with us and come away with new skills, new knowledge, and new friends.

This year's General Sessions each start with a week of math and computing Lectures to get you comfortable with the software and core concepts in the rest of the program. Weeks 2-4 are all methods Courses, dedicated to in-depth coverage of network analysis, Bayesian analysis, multilevel models, machine learning, and more.

Your schedule is your own! Customize the curriculum you need based on your background, goals, or just your curiosity. Choose from up to 4 Courses and any number of Lectures, all available either in person or online, synchronously and asynchronously. As a bonus, all materials, including recorded class meetings, are available through December 31, 2025.

On campus housing available!
