In memory of Ms. Wang Chiu-hwa, the architect of the IEAS Library
Ms. Wang Chiu-hwa, the architect of our Library, passed away at the age of 96 on June 14, 2021. Wang has been an important model in Taiwan’s field of architecture. Known as the “Mother of Taiwan Libraries, she has designed many modern library buildings throughout her life. In 2003, Wang was awarded the Outstanding Architect Award of the Republic of China, and in 2020, she received the 21st National Award for the Arts.
The IEAS deeply mourns the passing of Ms. Wang, and we would like to pay our most sincere tribute to her with the following article.
