Yen-Chi Wu holds a PhD in English from University College Cork, where his project on John McGahern and modernity was fully funded by an Irish Research Council Government of Ireland Postgraduate Scholarship. His research interests include Irish studies, modernism(s), contemporary fiction, and middlebrow literature. He is currently working on a project that investigates Irish writers’ connections with The New Yorker magazine in the mid-twentieth century.
