Congratulations to the winners of the 2025 Data Communication Scholarship at ICPSR! 

Zoë Bussewitz (Mass Communication and Political Science), of Stony Brook University, earned First Place with a video submission titled “Every Step You Take.”

Luke Claudy (Cyber Security), of Marymount University, earned Second Place with a video submission titled “The impact of Tutoring with the Lightning Squad technology on improving child literacy rates.”

ICPSR Data Depositor David Blanding, Faculty Director of the Master of Public Affairs Program at Brown University, has gone from skydiving to sharing and allowing the research community to dive into data from the 2009 Federal Stimulus Package Certification Study. Get to know David:

 

 

Q: If you had to explain this dataset to an 8th grader, how would you describe it?

A: Political and economic data from US states when the federal government passed a major economic development law in 2009.
