An Introduction to Agent-Based Modeling for Social Scientists August 4-12 Instructor: William Rand, North Carolina State University This will be a hands-on introduction to agent-based modeling for the social sciences. The first week will cover the basics of agent-based modeling, and will give participants the skills they need to build a simple ABM. For those participants that decide to continue for the second week (optional), we will cover advanced topics, including analysis of model outcomes, verification, validation, and replication among other topics.
