ICPSR Data Fair "Data in Real Life"

 

 

 

 

The ICPSR Data Fair starts Friday, and if you aren't registered already we hope you'll join us.

The Data Fair is a free, virtual conference that is open to the public. Whether you attend one session or 28, there's something here for all.

Announcing two new presentations:

Data Quality Challenges for Census 2020: How will we know and what can we do?
Tuesday, 9/22 at 4pm EDT

Presented by: 
- John H. Thompson, former Director of the U.S. Census Bureau 
- D'Vera Cohn, senior writer and editor at Pew Research Center
- Dr. Joseph Hotz, Distinguished Professor of Economics at Duke University
- Dr. Mark Hansen, Columbia University (moderator)

Challenges for Census 2020: The impact on data quality
Friday, 9/25 at 12pm EDT

Speakers will include two Chief Statisticians of the United States (emeritae) and an expert on the development of statistical data systems (particularly the census). Topics will include mail delays at the USPS, political appointees, COVID-19, and other factors affecting the 2020 Census.
