Announcement: Service Changes for EBSCO “America: Historical and Life with Full Text” and “Historical Abstracts with Full Text”

Dear colleagues,

Beginning 2018, service changes will take place for EBSCO “America: Historical and Life with Full Text” and “Historical Abstracts with Full Text” databases. Please see below for detail, thank you.

  1. Taking into account of increase in subscription fees and decrease in usage over the years, in order to improve cost-effectiveness, the 162nd Coordination Meeting of the Libraries of the Humanities and Social Sciences approved the cancellation of subscriptions of both databases beginning 2018.
  2. Current subscriptions will end on December 31, 2017. Please take advantage of the databases before subscriptions expire.
  3. Beginning next year, as an alternative, colleagues are welcome to use Academic Search Complete (ASC), a comprehensive full text database, or request for full text via the Interlibrary Loan Services.
