Off-campus Access Service for Library Resources (OpenAthens)

Current staff and adjunct researchers of the IEAS can access electronic resources while off-campus via “Off-Campus Access Services for Library Resources (OpenAthens)” by logging in and authenticating with their Academic Sinica account.

 

Please follow the steps below, or refer to the attached guide for detailed instructions:

Step 1: Go to the Academia Sinica Library Services website: https://aslib.sinica.edu.tw/posts/157805#AF

Step 2: Select the database you wish to use.

Step 3: Enter sinica as the institution name, then select Academia Sinica to log in. (Some databases may not require this step and will proceed directly to Step 4.)

Step 4: When the login screen appears:

  1. Current staff (SSO account): Select the first login option.
  2. Adjunct researchers: Select the second login option.

Step 5: After successful authentication, you may search the database and access full-text content.

 

Note 1: Current staff accessing Mainland China databases from off-campus, please continue to connect using VPN + (Proxy + Firefox).

Note 2: A small number of electronic resources do not support off-campus access; please use computers on campus for these resources.

Note 3: Users without an SSO account are requested to access electronic resources using on-campus computers.
