Position(Tenure Track): One opening for an Assistant Research Fellow, Associate Research Fellow or Research Fellow
Qualifications: Ph. D. degree in Sociology with a research focus on European and American societies. Specializations in Cultural Sociology, Social Inequality, Demography, Economic Sociology are preferred. Those who will complete an oral defense before July 15, 2012, and can provide proof, are also welcome to apply.
Application submission:
Ø Clear statement as to the rank of the position for which the candidate is applying
Ø Curriculum vitae and a complete list of publications
Ø Five copies of: doctoral thesis and reprints of no more than five other academic publications
Ø Summary of doctoral thesis (in English or Chinese)
Ø Current research focus and future research plan for next 5-8 years in English (2,000 words)
Ø A copy of all the degree diplomas received (Bachelor’s and beyond) and proof of oral defense completed for those who have not received a Ph.D. diploma
Ø Transcripts
Ø Three letters of recommendation (including a letter from the dissertation supervisor) mailed directly to the Institute by the respective authors.
